Public Sector People are currently partnered with a local council looking for a temporary Urban Designer to deliver place-based master plans, assessing and
preparing planning proposals, providing urban design advice, reviewing planning policy and updating Council’s planning instruments (Local Environmental Plan (LEP), Development Control Plan (DCP), and Site Specific DCPs). 
 
Your responsibilities will include:

• Contribute to updating Councils planning and design instruments, including producing sophisticated layouts, maps, diagrams, and 3D models.
• Conduct scenario testing using 3D modelling software, such as Giraffe.
• Work closely with Council’s strategic planners and urban designers to prepare the visual DCP documents, diagrams, and 3D models, while also setting style, format, and digital requirements for the public-facing platform.
• Additionally, it’ll support the team on various projects, including other planning and design policies, master plans, the 3D model project, the Design Review Panel, DAs and planning proposals.
