Public Sector People are working with a local council to recruit a Band 5 Traffic Engineer for a 3-month temporary contract assignment
You will be responsible for investigating traffic engineering related complaints and requests, assisting with transport and traffic related reports, and assisting with development of traffic management plans. The successful candidate will have Traffic Engineering experience within Victorian Local Government and sound written and verbal communication skills. This position will be for initial 3-month temporary contract starting in March.
Responsibilities will include: - Traffic Concern Investigations
- Parking Concern Investigations
- Assisting reviewing traffic data for speed limit reduction applications
- General minor traffic/accessibility projects
The ideal candidate will have: - A degree in Civil Engineering, or relevant experience/qualifications
- Traffic and Transport Engineering experience
- Local government experience and a solid understanding of local government policies, procedures, and legislation
- Ability to project manage transport and traffic management related projects
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and verbally
- High-level decision-making ability required to analyse information and data to provide solutions.
