Public Sector People (PSP) are currently looking to speak to a
System/ Network Administrator
who would be interested in a 3-month rolling contract within a Local Government organisation.

- Sydney North Shore location
- 3-month contract, possible extension

This role will take responsibility for the network support and corporate applications to ensure systems are available and uninterrupted with appropriate security in place.
Another key responsibility of this role is to work closely with the Network Administrator to contribute to the effective operation and cohesive integration between network, desktop and communications infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for software installations, upgrades and technical problem resolution working closely with applications owners and software vendors.
- Ongoing administration and optimisation of the SQL database.
- Work closely with the IT Manager to plan and schedule the implementation, upgrading and maintenance of corporate and business applications.
- Project manage network infrastructure projects as assigned and allocated.
- Perform upgrades or other network related activities.
- Monitor the Service Desk system and proactively provide second level call resolution and to escalate any requests that cannot be resolved.
Do you have: - A relevant degree or diploma with relevant work experience.
- Experience managing a complex SQL environment
- Substantial experience in managing and upgrading corporate applications.
- Detailed knowledge of networking and network protocols (VMware)
- Excellent knowledge and experience of Office365 and Azure.
- Strong customer experience skills, able to liaise with stakeholders and going above and beyond to resolve issues.
- Local government experience (preferred)
