We're seeking a talented
Senior Community Engagement Officer to join a Sydney based Council as a key member of their team for an initial 9 month contract. You will be responsible for leading and managing a range of community engagement projects and initiatives across the council.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and implement community engagement strategies and plans for a variety of projects and initiatives.
- Manage and coordinate community consultation and engagement activities, including workshops, forums, surveys, and online engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including community groups, businesses, and government agencies.
- Represent the Council at community events and forums.
- Provide advice and support to Council staff on community engagement matters.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement activities.
Essential: - Degree in Communications or related discipline, or demonstrated relevant experience
- Certification with the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2)
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
- Significant experience in community and stakeholder engagement role/s
- Strong understanding of community engagement methodologies and significant experience in developing, delivering and measuring stakeholder engagement strategies
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and an ability to establish productive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
