    An exciting opportunity exists for a detail-oriented Records Management Officer to join the Records Management team on a 3-month contract. The successful candidate will support daily operations, ensuring the integrity, privacy, and confidentiality of all records. 

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Assist with the daily operational tasks of the Records Management Unit to ensure compliance with privacy and confidentiality standards.
    • Register and classify corporate records into the EDRMS (Objective).
    • Assist with the daily handling of physical and electronic mail and corporate records in line with Council’s requirements.
    • Support projects in records management, including auditing, archiving, and scanning records.
    • Provide customer service and support to Council staff regarding records management processes.
    • Contribute to the maintenance and improvements of the Council’s EDRMS (Objective).
    Key Selection Criteria:
    To be considered for this role, candidates should demonstrate:
    • A minimum of Certificate IV in Information or Records Management, or equivalent experience in records management or a related field within local government.
    • Well-developed records management skills, including knowledge of archival procedures and experience with EDRMS programs (preferably Objective).
    • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team, with the capacity to work autonomously and seek support when necessary.
    • Strong time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to contribute to service improvements.
    • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), customer service experience, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and solid computing skills.
    Licenses and Requirements:
    The successful candidate must hold:
    • A satisfactory (and ongoing) Working with Children’s Check
    • A satisfactory (and ongoing) Police Check
    • A current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence
