Our client, a forward-thinking and community-focused local council, is seeking a
Rates Coordinator (Supervisor)
to join their team on a
two-month temporary contract.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to local government initiatives while enjoying a

38-hour work week, and a
competitive hourly rate of $48.39 + super.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and support a team of
four Rates Officers, ensuring the efficient administration of rates and revenue collection. Reporting to the
Team Leader Revenue and Collections, you will provide professional guidance and assist with budgeting, reporting, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, support, and professional guidance to Rates Officers.
- Assist with the development of budgets and financial reporting.
- Oversee day-to-day rates administration and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Process supplementary valuations accurately within set timeframes.
- Manage the collection of rates and charges, including pensioner rate rebates.
About You
- Previous experience in a similar role within local government.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing or supervising a team.
- Experience using Pathway
software is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
