Public Sector People (PSP) are currently looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join a Local Council in South-East Melbourne on an initial 3 month contract.
The HR Business Partner will support allocated division of Council in implementing solutions across HR generalist functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management. The role also builds leadership capability, ensuring leaders are equipped to effectively manage and support their teams.
Key Responsibilities - Partner with department leaders to build effective relationships.
- Provide coaching and guidance on HR issues and practices.
- Support end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition processes.
- Provide advice on Council’s Enterprise Agreements and HR policies.
- Assist in performance management and disciplinary processes.
- Contribute to broader People & Culture reports and initiatives.
Key Requirements: - Relevant qualification in Human Resources or similar role experience.
- Experience in HR Generalist roles and leading recruitment processes.
- Ability to coach and influence leaders confidentially.
- Excellent communication skills and relationship-building abilities.
