About the Role
As a Draftsperson, you will:
- Develop and maintain ‘As-built’ architectural, lighting, power, hydraulic, mechanical, and fire services drawings
- Manage the drawing register and maintain an archive of department drawings & Operation and Maintenance Manuals (O&M)
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (National Construction Code, Australian Standards, QLD Development Code)
- Work closely with staff, consultants, and contractors to gather and integrate project data
- Implement quality assurance controls on all drawings and documents
What We’re Looking For
- Experience with AutoCAD and proficiency in 2D technical drawings (3D/BIM knowledge is a plus!)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interpret building & engineering plans
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards
- Experience managing drawing registers and document control
Requirements
- Queensland ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence (ability to operate a government vehicle)
- Vaccination compliance (MMR, Varicella, Pertussis, Hepatitis B, Tuberculosis)
- Relevant drafting qualification and industry certification preferred
