Public Sector People is recruiting for
Multiple Customer Service Officers on behalf of a Local Government Department. This role is a temporary position with potential for extension. The Customer Service team is continually striving to improve its services to the community and to assist other service units to improve service delivery in a fast-paced, customer focused environment.
About the role: As a Customer Service Officer, you will respond accurately to inbound customer inquiries and promptly address issues, questions and complaints with the goal of first point of call resolution. Your responsibilities include processing applications, compiling requests for action by other departments, handling financial transactions and fluently navigating internal systems.

- $39.00 per hour + Super
- 38 hours per week
- No Weekend Work - Monday to Friday – Rostered between 8am-5pm
Key Responsibilities: - Provide accurate and timely responses to customer inquiries and address issues effectively.
- Process applications, compile requests for action by relevant departments, and manage financial transactions.
- Ensure adherence to client’s policies, procedures, and service standards while supporting continual improvement initiatives.
About You: - Previous Government experience in Local, State or Federal Government desirable but not required
- Ability to quickly and accurately navigate multiple systems
- Ability to process high work volumes with a high degree of accuracy
- Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills with a focus on the provision of quality customer service.
