This role is working within one of the largest departments in the QLD State Government. The department are looking for someone with strong knowledge of contract administration processes associated with traditional and non-traditional building contracts. Initial 3 months Contract + extension
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold the contractual obligations of all parties with integrity and fairness.
- Perform site inspections, manage meetings, issue variation orders, and process contractor claims.
- Ensure compliance with contract documentation and Building Act standards.
- Provide expert advice to support dispute resolution and contractual issues.
- Implement policies for contract administration and post-contract evaluations.
- Communicate effectively with clients and project teams regarding costs, timelines, and quality issues.
- Mentor and guide staff to enhance skills and performance.
Successful candidate:
- Strong knowledge of contract administration processes, including traditional and non-traditional contracts.
- Proven experience in managing government building contracts (highly desirable).
- Great interpersonal skills
- Great stakeholder management skills
- Commitment to equity, workplace health, and safety principles.
