    I’m thrilled to be partnering with a forward-thinking and highly collaborative Queensland Government client. This is your chance to step into a strategic role where you’ll provide high-quality, innovative HR advice and consultancy, shaping impactful solutions and driving meaningful change.

    Role title: Senior Human Resources

    Pay: AO6 Level + 11.5% super
    Location: Brisbane CBD
    Client: State Government
    Start date: ASAP
    Contract length: until June 30th 2025 with possible extension
    Hours: 37.5hours per week Monday to Friday + days from home

    Reporting to: AO7 Senior Human Resources
      
    The role will be focusing on these three areas 
    • Workforce Management & Industrial Relations (IR): Lead the development and implementation of IR strategy for Roadtek, focusing on achieving mechanical attraction and retention classifications by August. Oversee the classification structure reviews, ensuring alignment with location and progression, while liaising with teams to address reward structures.
    • Accreditation & Policy Implementation: Spearhead the creation and rollout of an accreditation scheme to elevate workforce standards. Lead the implementation of a comprehensive drug and alcohol policy, ensuring compliance and promoting a safe, productive work environment.
    • Organizational Change & Transition: Manage workplace reviews, including organizational change initiatives. Focus on optimizing workforce structures, employee relations, and creating a smooth transition for future leadership.
      
    What you will be doing :
    • Provide professional advice in the management of complex HR and industrial issues.
    • Promote the development, implementation and continuous improvement of effective health and safety.
    • Promote continuous improvement by developing, implementing and overseeing procedures, policies and frameworks.
    • Support, advise and enable line managers.
    • Provide concise, high quality and timely correspondence and submissions of complex nature.
    • Support Team Leader in the delivery of strategic HR outcomes.
