About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Administration Support Officer with experience in local council and waste services to join a Waste/Cleansing Team within the Operations Centre. This is a full-time, one-month contract position, office-based, where you will provide essential administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of waste services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle telephone communication with internal and external customers, contractors, and suppliers.
- Capture, process, and refer all Customer Field Service requests.
- Respond to general queries and refer complex ones to the appropriate department teams.
- Prepare for meetings, take minutes, and support general office tasks.
- Manage data entry and maintain accurate records for all relevant processes.
Key Selection Criteria:
To be considered for this role, you must have prior
local council
and
waste services
experience. In addition, you should meet the following criteria:
- Understanding of Work Scheduling and Occupational Health & Safety practices relevant to Infrastructure Services and Planning.
- Strong ability to plan, organise, and manage work effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to manage inquiries and resolve concerns professionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with computer software for routine correspondence and reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A team player who actively participates in achieving team goals.
Desirable:
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Merit software would be highly advantageous.
