Public Sector People (PSP) are working closely with TWO councils to recruit an Administration Officer to support the Environmental Health Team for a 3-month temporary contract.
There are two roles available.
Location:
One role is based in the Western suburbs and another role is based in the South-Eastern suburbs
Hours: 30 - 37.5 hour per hour week
Rate:
Band 4
Working Arrangement:
Hybrid
Key Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Environmental Health Unit, including word processing, data entry, handling telephone inquiries, filing, and photocopying.
- Process health and food premises registration renewals efficiently and accurately.
- Prepare requisitions and authorise payments in accordance with the Council’s Purchasing Policy.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Criteria:
- Previous experience in a local council environment, ideally supporting environmental health or local laws teams.
- Strong ability to interpret and apply legislation to various situations, ensuring decisions align with Council policies and expectations with minimal supervision.
- Proven adaptability in responding to new challenges, demonstrating initiative in managing competing priorities effectively.
- Experience with TechOne and/or Health Manager systems is highly desirable.
